The new three-year average premature death data for the years of 2018-2020 are now available. Data were from the National Center for Health Statistics – Mortality Files (2018-2020) and are used for the 2023 County Health Rankings. The age-adjusted rate of potential life lost before age 75 per every 100,000 total population are reported for US states and counties with >= 20 deaths over the report period.
New maps and data now available for the Premature Death indicator from the 2023 County Health Rankings.
