The latest data on adverse climate and weather-related events are now available. This indicator reports how many of three event thresholds—extreme heat, moderate or greater drought, and presidential disaster declarations—a county met over a five-year period, with a score ranging from 0 to 3. This new measure is included in the 2025 County Health Rankings framework to highlight local climate-related risks.
