The school segregation index data, which reports the extent to which students within different race and ethnicity groups are unevenly distributed across schools when compared with the racial and ethnic composition of the local population, are now available for the year of 2020-2021. Data were from the 2020-2021 National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) and are used for the 2022 County Health Rankings. The school segregation index are reported for US counties and states over the report period.
